Description

This is a set of six postcards from the Cape Breton Miners’ Museum in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. The museum honours Cape Breton’s mining history, offers tours of a coal mine, and is a rehearsal space for the Men of the Deep. The postcards show historical images of Glace Bay, Caledonia, and Cape Breton related to its mining history, heritage, and the tourism industry that grew from it after deindustrialization.

The postcards were bought by DePOT staffer Gab McLaren are hanging in DePOT's main office in Montreal.
